Parking is allowed as posted except for on-street overnight winter parking.
On-Street Overnight Winter Parking
Beginning December 1st and ending April 1st, overnight parking is allowed on one side of the street (odd or even) from 12:00 AM to 7:00 AM. Example: If the winter begins in an even year then parking is allowed on the even numbered side of the street only. Vehicles over 1 ton are not allowed to park overnight.
Parking Ticket Payment
All parking tickets are due and payable within 21 days.
Payments may be paid in person or by mail to: Collectors Office, City Hall, 85 George P. Hassett Drive, Medford, Ma. 02155. Please make checks payable to City of Medford. Tickets can also be paid online at kelleyryan.com
Overdue Payment, Registry of Motor Vehicle Action
Unpaid tickets over 21 days old are turned over to Deputy Collector Kelley and Ryan Associates for collection and Registry action. Unpaid parking tickets will result in your license to drive and/or your automobile registration marked for non-renewal with the Registry of Motor Vehicles until payment in full is received. To pay a delinquent parking ticket and release all Registry marks contact: Kelley and Ryan Associates, phone: 508-473-9660. They have payment locations near many Registry offices.
Parking Ticket Disputes/Hearings
You may dispute a parking ticket within 21 days of issuance.
There are two ways to dispute a parking ticket.
1. You may send your appeal in writing. The Hearing Officer will render a decision based on the information that you provide and inform you by mail.
2. You may request a formal hearing and meet with the Hearing Officer.
Appeal in Writing
In your words send a written description as to why you think the ticket should be dismissed. Include your name, address, license plate number, phone number, a copy of the ticket, and any supporting evidence such as photographs or witness statements.
The Hearing Officer will review your claim and notify you of the outcome by mail.
Formal Hearing
To request a formal hearing send a written request to the Hearing Officer. Include your name, address, license plate number, phone number, a copy of the ticket, and any supporting evidence such as photographs or witness statements. The Hearing Officer will notify you by mail as to the date and time of the hearing.

Off Street Parking Commission
The Commission consists of five members appointed by the Mayor. Members shall be residents of the City Of Medford. The commission holds regular monthly public meetings except during July and August. Notices of meetings are forwarded to the City Clerk. For information call the Secretary to the Commission at 781-393-2523
Commuter Parking Permits
Permits for commuter parking from July to June at designated locations are available for a moderate fee. Permits may be purchased at the Treasurer’s Office, City Hall, 85 G.P.Hassett Dr., Medford, MA 02155. For further information, call (781) 393-2530.
